The UnTeaching Project
To Teaching Artists, it’s not possible to think about the artistic without the pedagogical. The UnTeaching Project brought together outsider and teaching artists and students to celebrate dialog between the making and the made, bringing lessons to life in an activated art space. This encompassed free arts programing, performances, discussions, and movement experiences adapted from courses and lessons for students with sensory, developmental, physical, and behavioral sensitivities. These artworks highlight the ethical-political influence that links the pedagogical and the impulse to make art. In entering the space, you contribute to the artwork. Thus, UnTeaching is was and is a multisensory and co-creation experiences that continuously evolves.
